Tumblr is funny sometimes
A couple of hours ago I posted a book recommendation: Fever 1793. That recommendation was reblogged by Laurie Halse Anderson, who wrote the book. Didn’t realize she was on tumblr, but she follows me! It was pretty funny to see a reblog from the author on my dashboard.
In other Fever 1793 news, jesuisgenevoise let me know the US’s first quarentine hospital is still around: the Lazaretto in Tinicum, PA. It is crumbling and soon to be a municipal building, but google tells me Friends of the 1799 Lazaretto occasionally run historic tours and such for Philly area folks.
